About Us - SportsInsightWeb.com

SPORTS INSIGHT is a professional handicapper offering serious no-nonsense prediction service. NFL football and NBA basketball are all we are interested in "NOTHING ELSE". The SPORTS INSIGHT information has not been recently available to the public before 2006. Bob Wingerter is back after a 5 year retirement, with his vast knowledge of NFL football and NBA basketball. He is head handicapper for SPORTS INSIGHT. Bob has over 30 years experience following NFL football and NBA basketball. He knows about winning and has been doing so for over 30 years! BOB WILL MAKE YOU A WINNER!

SPORTS INSIGHT headed by Bob are the winners of the ProFootball Weekly 2006 National Handicapper Bowl, Totals Division (Units and Won/Loss Percentage). Selections are based on research, over 30 year experience, discipline and feel for the game. Our selections are based on merit, whether or not they are on TV. WE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED! We want to make you better.

Our selections will only be among the games meeting our criteria. SPORTS INSIGHT will not give a selection just for sake of having one for the day. We would rather have none. There won't be a bunch of useless statistics, trivial information, speculations and opinions, that are contained in the line anyway. The betting line is made to create two-way action and they do a very good job, but sometimes public perception is considered. This opens up holes and opportunities and we exploit them.

Handicappers have one thing in common, and that is the love for winning. Our handicapping staff are veterans with many years' experience, providing winning picks for clients. We are proud to deliver our winning ways to you right here at SportsInsightweb.com.

The most important part of handicapping is discipline and money management. Discipline will be reflected in our selections. Money management you must learn yourself.

We don't believe in rating or giving stars to our selections. They are all of merit. Doubling up or chasing can be counterproductive in the long run. SPORTS INSIGHT is not saying that it can be helpful to increase your plays when going good (not one winning week) and decrease them when going bad, that is part of good money management.

Our analogy of handicapping is that of a carpenter going to work without a hammer. A handicapper must have a bankroll.

HANDICAPPING INSIGHTS

The handicapper must be constantly on the alert to make changes in his handicapping methods and techniques. This process is never complete, odds making, the creation of betting lines, and public knowledge are all in constant change. The good handicapper should never be assured that he has found all the answers. It is his measurement of change and adjustment that will add to his continual success. Over the years we have noticed a definite correlation between the pro team with a well organized front office and its success on the field. Athletes seem to reflect the harmony that exists in management or the discord between the relationship of labor and management. The relationship established by a fair and sympathetic management to its players is inevitably rewarded with a peak effort at game time.

A successful handicapper should know all he can about the ability of the players on a team, individually and overall. He should know the coaches, their philosophy, team morale and anything else about the team that might affect its play and performance.

A good handicapper will keep meticulous and honest records of his decisions and their outcome. He will learn his strengths and weaknesses. This will teach and motivate him to constantly improve his work.

A lot of luck is involved in sports handicapping. (Although you make your own luck) The more you know, the better your luck will be. I would say that about 60% of all games are determined by luck or happenstance. Its how one does in the other 40% or so that separates the men from the boys.

A successful handicapper will find himself constantly gaining confidence in his work and its results, especially if he learns his mistakes and makes the adjustments. Remember, one should learn a lot more from losing than winning.

A team's motivation is not something you can turn on and off. Physical and mental preparation must be worked on constantly.

The handicapper must recognize that the contest is not between the analyst and the game, but between the handicapper and the oddsmaker. In the big picture the focus should be on the long term monetary benefits not picking a TV game correctly.
